Machli Kay Tikkay (Monkish Tikka)
- 14 oz. Monkfish fillet cut into cubes
- 8 garlic cloves
- 2 inches of ginger
- 1/4 tsp cumin seeds
- 3/4 tsp coriander seeds
- 3/4 tsp ground red chili
- 1/2 tsp ground turmeric
- 1/2 tsp garam masala
- 2 tbsp lime juice
- 3 1/2 tbsp peanut oil
- 7 oz. Greek style yogurt
- melted butter for basting
- salt and pepper
- Rub salt and pepper into the Monkfish and set aside
- Put the garlic, spices, lime juice, oil and half the yogurt into a blender and process to a smooth paste
- Whisk in the remaining yogurt
- Add more chili
- Mix in the fish cubes
- Cover overnight
- BBQ on wooden skewers with butter
