Chocolate Cracked Cookies

  1. 1. Melt 20 oz chocolate according to package directions.
  2. 2. Coarsely chop remaining 4 oz chocolate.
  3. 3. Mix flour, cinnamon, chile pepper, baking powder and salt in small bowl.
  4. 4. Beat butter and sugars in large bowl on medium speed until light & fluffy.
  5. 5. Add eggs and vanilla, mix well.
  6. 6. Add melted chocolate, beat until well blended.
  7. 7. Gradually beat in flour mixture on low speed until well mixed.
  8. 8. Stir in chopped chocolate.
  9. 9. Drop by generous rounded tablespoons 1.5" apart on parchment paper lined baking sheets.
  10. 10. Bake in preheated 375 F oven about 10 mins. Transfer to wire rack, cool.
