Bread Pudding With Caramel Sauce

  1. Lay bread in a baking pan and sprinkle with cinnamon.
  2. Cook the heavy cream and sugar until it comes to a boil and then turn it off. Let it rest while you gently fold the eggs and vanilla together.
  3. Add eggs and vanilla to cream and sugar a little bit at a time, stirring constantly.
  4. Once all the egg mixture has been added, pour over the dried bread. Once it cools enough to touch, fold through the bread until evenly mixed.
  5. Bake covered for 20 minutes at 350, and then another 15 minutes at 250.
  6. To prepare caramel sauce:
  7. Bring 2 qt. heavy cream, 2 pkg. brown sugar, and 1# butter to a boil, rest, then drizzle over pudding.
