Venison Pepper Steak And Rice
- 8 oz. venison
- 1 Tbsp. vegetable oil
- 1 medium tomato, coarsely chopped
- 1 large green pepper, cut into strips
- 2 Tbsp. soy sauce
- 1/4 tsp. garlic salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1/4 tsp. sugar
- 1/4 tsp. ground ginger
- 1 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1/2 c. beef broth or 1 beef bouillon cube and 1/2 c. water
- 1 c. hot cooked rice
- Cut meat into thin strips or small pieces.
- Heat oil in skillet.
- Add meat and brown quickly.
- Stir in tomato, soy sauce and other seasonings.
- Cover and cook 10 minutes or until meat is almost tender.
- Add green pepper and cook 10 minutes.
- Blend cornstarch and broth and stir into meat mixture; cover and simmer 10 minutes longer.
- Serve over bed of fluffy rice.
