Baked Deer
- deer meat
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. white pepper
- 3 bay leaves
- 1/2 c. onion
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1/2 c. olive oil
- 3 c. hot water
- 1 c. wine vinegar
- 1 c. teriyaki sauce
- 4 or 5 slices bacon
- 4 or 5 potatoes
- 1 c. celery
- 1 c. carrots
- 1 large onion
- 4 Tbsp. cornstarch
- Rub
- deer
- well with soda.
- Rinse well with cold water. Place int deep roasting pan.
- Mix together first 9 ingredients.
- Pour over
- deer;
- covertnd
- bake 45 minutes at 375u0b0. Uncover
- and put
- bacontn deer and cook 60 minutes at 350u0b0, basting
- several times.
- Take
- out
- bay
- leaves
- and skim off grease.
- Cut
- up vegetables and place around deer.
- Add cornstarch to the sauce and cook 45 more minutes or until done.
