Banana Dessert
- ripe bananas (about 6 or 8)
- 1 can (14 oz./398 gr) condensed milk
- 1 can milk (use the condensed milk can to measure it)
- 1 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 2 eggs, separate yolks and whites
- 1 can Nestle light cream or 1 small box whipped cream (light cream is better)
- 4 Tbsp. sugar
- Fry the bananas in butter or cooking spray.
- Set aside.
- In a heavy saucepan, mix condensed milk, milk, cornstarch and egg yolks.
- Bring to a boil, stirring all the time.
- Cook over low heat until thick and nonstick to bottom of pan.
- Do not stop stirring or mixture may burn.
- Let cream cool before using.
- In a bowl, beat egg whites at high speed until stiff peaks form.
- Add sugar and beat until well blended.
- Add light cream and mix well. Pour bananas in bottom of a serving dish.
- Cover with egg yolk cream and top with beaten egg whites.
- Chill for at least one hour before serving.
- Keep refrigerated.
