Steak Salad With Zesty Mayonnaise Dressing
- 1 pound Steak (rib-eye, Filet Mignon, etc)
- 1 handful Rocket
- 1 handful Spinach
- 1 Red Pepper (Diced)
- 1 cup Cherry Tomatoes (Diced)
- 1 handful Watercress
- 1 Avocado (Diced)
- 2 ounces Gorgonzola (Crumbled)
- 3 ounces Light Mayonnaise
- 2 ounces Lime Juice
- 1 tablespoon Cilantro
- 2 pieces Garlic (Crushed)
- 1 pinch Salt and Pepper
- Begin by seasoning the steak with the salt and pepper. Heat some cooking oil (or butter, etc) in a frying pan and sear the steaks over medium high heat, about 3 minutes each side.
- Transfer the steak to the oven and cook at 350 degrees Fahrenheit until cooked through, about 8 - 15 minutes depending on rarity preferences.
- While the steak is in the oven, toss together the spinach, watercress, rocket, avocado, red pepper, and cherry tomatoes and fill each plate.
- Next, combine the light mayonnaise, lime juice, cliantro, and garlic, whisking with a fork until smooth.
- Once the steak is done, allow to sit 5 minutes to cool. Then, cut into thin strips.
- Divide up the steak among plates, laying the slices on top of the bed of greens.
- Top with crumbled gorgonzola and dressing.
- Serve.
