Steak Salad With Zesty Mayonnaise Dressing

  1. Begin by seasoning the steak with the salt and pepper. Heat some cooking oil (or butter, etc) in a frying pan and sear the steaks over medium high heat, about 3 minutes each side.
  2. Transfer the steak to the oven and cook at 350 degrees Fahrenheit until cooked through, about 8 - 15 minutes depending on rarity preferences.
  3. While the steak is in the oven, toss together the spinach, watercress, rocket, avocado, red pepper, and cherry tomatoes and fill each plate.
  4. Next, combine the light mayonnaise, lime juice, cliantro, and garlic, whisking with a fork until smooth.
  5. Once the steak is done, allow to sit 5 minutes to cool. Then, cut into thin strips.
  6. Divide up the steak among plates, laying the slices on top of the bed of greens.
  7. Top with crumbled gorgonzola and dressing.
  8. Serve.
