Easy Yeast Rolls
- 2 pkg. dry yeast
- 1/2 c. warm milk
- 1 c. milk
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. Crisco oil
- 1 Tbsp. salt
- 1 egg, slightly beaten
- 4 c. all-purpose flour
- Combine yeast and warm milk to soften yeast, about 5 minutes. Combine yeast mixture, 1 cup milk, sugar, oil, salt and egg in a large mixing bowl.
- Add 1 cup flour, stirring until smooth.
- Stir in enough remaining flour to make a soft dough.
- Place dough in a well greased bowl.
- Turn dough to grease top.
- Cover and let stand in warm place for 15 minutes (85u0b0).
- Punch dough down; cover and let stand another 15 minutes in a warm draft-free place.
- Turn dough onto a floured surface; knead 3 or 4 times.
- Divide dough into 24 pieces; shape into balls.
- Dip into melted butter and place in pans and let rise for about 15 minutes or more, in a warm place.
- Bake at 400u0b0 for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
