Turkey Burgers

  1. 1. In a medium bowl mix the ground turkey with the bread crumbs, parsley, egg,
  2. salt and pepper. Cover and refrigerate.
  3. 2. Light the grill. Heat oil in a small skillet. Add onion and cook over high heat
  4. until beginning to brown, 3 to 4 minutes. Stir in the garlic and remove from heat. Let cool
  5. to room temperature, then stir into turkey mixture.
  6. 3. Form turkey into 4 patties. Cook the patties on an oiled grill for about 6 minutes
  7. per side, or until an internal temp of 145 is reached. Serve the burgers on the buns.
  8. Fresh plum Sauce with Basil
  9. 1 '/2 lb. ripe purple plums pitted and cut into 1 inch chunks
  10. 1/3 cup balsamic Vinegar
  11. 1/2 cup shredded fresh basil
  12. '/2 tsp freshly ground black pepper
  13. M: tsp salt
  14. 1. In a medium non-reactive saucepan bring the plum s and Vinegar to a boil over
  15. high heat. Cover and reduce the heat to moderately low. Cook the plums stirring often,
  16. until tender, about 10 minutes.
  17. 2. Puree the plums in a food processor. Strain the puree into a non-reactiVe bowl.
  18. Stir in the basil, pepper, and salt and let cool. Use or cover tightly and refrigerate up to 1
  19. week.
