Pasta With Italian Sausage And Broccoli
- 1/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil
- 4 sweet Italian sausage, casings removed
- 3 cloves garlic,minced
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (opt)
- 2 cups frozen broccoli
- 2 cups bowtie pasta
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium beat.
- 2. Add the Italian sausage. Cook, breaking up the meat with a spoon, until nicely
- browned, about 5 minutes.
- 3. Stir in the garlic and the red pepper flakes. Cook for 1 minute more.
- 4. Stir in the broccoli. Cover and cook just until tender, about 5 minutes.
- Bring to a rolling boil the water aud the salt. Add the pasta and cook until tender. Drain the pasta, leaving some water clinging to the noodles and add it to the skillet over low heat. Toss to coat and combine. Then remove to a large serving bowl. Season with salt.
