Salisbury Steak

  1. Finely chop 1 cup of the mushrooms and set the other 2 cups aside. In a medium sized mixing bowl, combine the finely chopped mushrooms, ground beef, bread crumbs, egg whites, skim milk, thyme, and 1T of the ketchup.
  2. Mix together very well. Shape the mix into 5 oval patties about 1/2 inch thick.
  3. Coat a 12inch skillet in cooking spray and heat over medium to high heat. Add the patties and cook for 2-3 minutes, flip and continue cooking for another 2-3 minutes until brown.
  4. Add the remaining 2 cups of mushroom, 2T of ketchip, and gravy. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low. Cover and let simmer for 5-10 mins, until patties reach desired doneness.
