Green Beans Oriental
- 2 cans French-style beans (yellow, green or combo)
- 1 can bean sprouts
- 1 can water chestnuts (8 oz.), sliced
- 1/4 c. grated Parmesan cheese
- 4 Tbsp. margarine
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 1/4 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1 can evaporated milk
- 1/4 c. grated Cheddar cheese
- 1/2 c. unblanched almonds, chopped
- Heat beans in own juice for 5 minutes; drain.
- Combine bean sprouts, water chestnuts and cheese.
- Make alternate layers of beans and cheese mixture in casserole dish.
- Blend flour, salt and Worcestershire sauce in 2 tablespoons of margarine.
- Add milk, stirring constantly, until thickened.
- Pour over vegetables, lifting with fork to coat all vegetables.
- Melt 2 tablespoons of margarine, add almonds and sprinkle over casserole.
- Bake at 425u0b0 for 15 to 20 minutes.
