Pancit
- 1/4 c. cooking oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 medium onion, minced
- 1 c. boiled pork, sliced or sliced chicken breast
- 1 small cabbage, shredded
- 1 large carrot, sliced
- 1 1/2 c. chicken broth
- 1 scallion, chopped
- 1 bundle rice sticks (Bijon), soaked, drained and cut
- 2 pieces Chinese sausage, fried and sliced
- 2 Tbsp. soy sauce
- 1 tsp. salt (or to taste)
- 1 tsp. Aji-no-moto, MSG (optional)
- Saute garlic in cooking oil.
- Add onions, pork (or chicken), carrot and cabbage; season with soy sauce.
- Add broth; simmer.
- Mix in rice sticks (Bijon); season with salt to taste and MSG (optional).
- Garnish with Chinese sausage and scallions.
- May also serve with hard-boiled egg, cut up or scrambled egg, cut in strips.
