Holiday Vegetable Casserole
- 1 lb. fresh mushrooms, sliced lengthwise
- 1 small onion, grated
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/4 cup flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 1 tsp Accent
- 3/4 cup grated sharp cheddar cheese
- 1/2 tsp Tabasco Sauce
- 1 Tlb soy souce
- 1 pkg frozen artichokes
- 1 pkg frozen green beans
- 1 8 0z can water chestnuts
- 1 can onion rings
- 3 cups milk
- Cook mushrooms, grated onions and butter together. Add flour, salt, pepper, Accent and stir to blend.
- Stir in milk and cook stirring constantly until thickened. Add cheese, Tabasco and Soy sauce. Stir till cheese is melted.
- Cook artichokes and green beans according to directions, drain and add to
- cheese mixture. Add water chestnuts and turn into buttered casserole dish.
- Bake in 350 over for 10 minutes. Crumble onion rings on top and bake 10 minutes longer.
