Cc Cookies With 1 Part Whole Wheat Flour
- 2 sticks unsalted butter, room temp plus (75-80 degrees)
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 2 eggs
- 8 oz flour
- 4 oz whole wheat flour
- 4 oz oatmeal
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt (more or less according to preferences)
- Pre-heat oven to 375F
- Cream sugar and butter
- Add brown sugar, blend thoroughly
- Blend in vanilla
- Blend in eggs, 1 at a time, until batter is consistent
- Sift together the flours and baking soda, discarding the larger pieces (wheat germ)
- Fold flour into batter, add salt
- Blend well
- Add oatmeal, blend
- Add chocolate chips, blend just enough to distribute well
- Using ice cream scoop, space 12 scoops evenly on "half" baking sheet
- Bake cookies, one sheet at a time, 11 mins or just until beginning to brown
- Cool cookies 4-5 mins on rack before removing to cool completely
