Peanut Butter Bars
- 1 C. brown sugar
- 1/2 C. white sugar
- 1/2 C. butter
- 1/2 C. creamy peanut butter
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1/2 C. walnuts, chopped
- 1 (13 oz.) pkg. miniature chocolate covered peanut butter cups, halved
- 1 1/2 C. flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- Topping:
- 2 C. semisweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 C. butter
- Beat together sugars, 1/2 C. butter and peanut butter in a large bowl with electric mixer until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat in vanilla.
- Stir together flour, baking powder and salt in a small bowl. Stir flour mixture into peanut butter mixture. Fold in chopped nuts. Pour batter into prepared pan. Press peanut butter cups lightly into batter. Bake 350 degrees for 20-25 min. Cool in pan
- To make topping:
- Met chocolate and 1/2 C. butter in a small bowl in the microwave for 30 second intervals, stirring after each until smooth. Drizzle the chocolate into pan. Cut into bars
