Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie

  1. Put the milk, vanilla and half of the sugar in a pot
  2. and scald (when there are a few bubbles around the
  3. edge of the pot.)
  4. Mix the other half of the sugar with the cornstarch to
  5. break up the cornstarch. Add the egg yolks and whisk
  6. together. Be sure there are no lumps.
  7. Once the milk has scalded, slowly pour it into the
  8. eggs while whisking. Pour about half of the dairy into
  9. the bowl.
  10. Pour the eggs back into the milk and return to
  11. the stove. Turn stove to high and stir with a rubber
  12. spatula or spoon.
  13. Once the custard begins to thicken, whisk for about
  14. one more minute.
  15. Take off the stove and add the butter, chocolate and
  16. peanut butter.
  17. Stir until these are all melted. Pour into crust.
  18. Refrigerate until set.
