Bev'S Chicken Italiano
- 4 boneless chicken breasts
- 3 Tbsp. margarine
- 1/4 c. onion, diced
- 1 can Italian tomato sauce
- garlic powder to taste
- Italian seasoning to taste
- 1 c. Italian bread crumbs
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1/4 c. green pepper, diced
- Mozzarella cheese slices
- pepper to taste
- Melt margarine in baking dish in 350u0b0 oven.
- Wash chicken. Dip in beaten egg until well coated.
- Mix bread crumbs, garlic powder, Italian seasoning and pepper; roll chicken in mixture until well coated.
- Place in baking dish.
- Pour tomato sauce over the chicken; sprinkle with onions and green peppers.
- Bake at 350u0b0 for 40 minutes.
- Remove from oven and top with cheese.
- Continue baking for 20 to 25 minutes or until chicken is tender.
