Cheese Wine Bake
- 2 loaves of fairly firm french bread slices lengthwise
- 1/4 lb butter
- 2 cloves garlic crushed
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup dry whitre wine
- 3 eggs beaten
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 tsp dry mustard
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp white pepper
- 1/2 tsp prepared mustard
- 1 lb swiss cheese grated
- 1/2 tsp cayenne
- 1/4 cup parmesan grated
- mix butter and garlic
- spread on bread
- place face down in pan
- slash crust
- mix broth, wine, eggs, salt, worcestershire, mustards, papreka, pepper and pour over bread
- place swiss cheese all over the top
- finish with parmesan cheese
- bake at 325 for 30 minutes or so. it should be fairly firm when cut into 1 x 3 inch pieces. serve warm.
