Microwave Candy Bars
- 2 c. quick cooking oats
- 1/2 c. butter or margarine
- 1/2 c. packed brown sugar
- 1/4 c. light corn syrup
- 1/3 c. semi-sweet chocolate bits
- 2 Tbsp. peanut butter (chunky is best)
- Combine oats and margarine in microwave-safe bowl.
- Microwave (High), uncovered, 3 to 4 minutes until heated through.
- Stir in sugar and syrup until blended.
- Microwave (High), uncovered, 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 minutes, until heated and sugar is dissolved, stirring once.
- Evenly press into lightly greased 8-inch square microwave-safe bowl; set aside.
- Microwave chocolate bits in uncovered glass bowl, 1 1/2 to 2 minutes until soft, stirring once.
- Stir until smooth.
- Blend in peanut butter.
- Spoon onto oat mixture.
- Spreading evenly.
- Refrigerate.
- Cut into squares or bars.
