Milky Way Cake
- 5 Milky Way bars
- 1 1/2 sticks butter
- 2 C flour
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1 C sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1 C butter milk
- 1 tsp vanilla
- Frosting:
- 2 Milky Way bars
- 1 stick butter
- 1 1/2 C powdered sugar
- 1 tsp milk
- 1 tsp vanilla
- Grease a 13 x 9 pan and preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
- In a saucepan, melt 3 Milky Ways and 1/4 cup butter on low heat. Be careful not to burn the chocolate. Wisk until one color.
- In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder and baking soda.
- In a separate bowl, mix sugar and 1/2 cup butter (melted). Beat until light. Add 3 eggs, one egg at a time.
- Add 1 tsp vanilla and candy bar mix to the sugar mixture. Then add the butter milk and flour mix, alternatively. Beat together until all ingredients are blended together and mixture is one color.
- Add mixture to greased pan and bake for 25 minutes.
- Frosting:
- In a saucepan, melt 2 Milky Way bars and 1/2 cup butter. Add 1 tsp vanilla and 1 tsp milk. Add powdered sugar until frosting is at the right consistency.
- Cut the remaining 2 Milky Way bars into bite size pieces and sprinkle on top.
