Chuck Wagon Stew

  1. Coat beef in a mixture of flour, paprika, 1 teaspoon chili powder and salt.
  2. Brown in hot fat in large Dutch oven.
  3. Add onions and garlic and cook until soft.
  4. Then add tomatoes, chili powder, cinnamon, cloves and peppers.
  5. Cover and simmer 2 hours.
  6. Add potatoes and carrots and cook until vegetables are done, about 45 minutes.
  7. Makes 6 to 8 servings.
