Apple Cheesecake Tart
- Base
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1 cup All purpose flour
- Cheesecake Filling
- 8 oz cream cheese
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla
- Apple Topping
- 1 1/2 lbs Granny smith apples
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon (or more to your taste)
- 1/4 cup sliced almonds
- Preheat oven to 450 degrees F.
- Make crust: cream together butter and sugar. Add flour and mix well. Press into bottom and 1 1/4 inches up the sides of a 9 inch springform pan
- Make cheesecake filling: mix together cream cheese and sugar. Add the egg and vanilla and blend well. Spoon mixture into crust.
- Make apple topping: core, peel and thinly slice apples. Arrange apple slices on cooie sheet. Combine sugar and cinnamon, mix in a bowl with apple slices just enough to coat.
- Bake for 10 minutes. Reduce heat to 350 degrees and bke another 25 minutes. Let cool 3 to 4 hours before serving.
