Salisbury Steak Skillet Supper
- 1/4 c. dry bread crumbs
- 1 large egg
- 1/4 c. catsup
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 Tbsp. salad oil
- 1 (10 1/2 oz.) can condensed mushroom soup, undiluted
- 1/4 c. dry white wine
- 1 c. whole potatoes, drained and sliced
- 1 (9 oz.) pkg. frozen Italian green beans
- In medium bowl with fork, combine bread crumbs, egg, catsup and salt until well blended.
- Mix in ground beef.
- Shape into a large patty about 1 inch thick; or several small ones.
- In large skillet, over medium-low heat, heat oil; brown beef patty on each side.
- Meanwhile, in small bowl, mix soup and wine.
- Drain excess fat from skillet.
- Add soup mixture, potatoes and frozen green beans around beef patty in skillet.
- Cover and simmer 10 minutes longer, stirring vegetables once during cooking.
- Makes 4 servings; 415 calories per serving.
