Stromboli
- 1 loaf frozen bread dough, thawed
- 2 large eggs, separated
- 1 tbls grated parmesean cheese
- 2 tbls olive oil
- 1 tsp ground oregano
- 1 tsp dried parsley flakes
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp ground black pepper
- Toppings of your choice. Some suggestions are mushrooms, black olives, Italian sausage, cheese.
- Roll out thawed bread dough in a 11 x 15 rectangle. Beat together egg yolks, parmesean cheese, oil, oregano, parsley, garlic powder and black pepper. Brush mixture over bread dough and top with your choice of toppings. Roll jellyroll style, starting at long end and tuck ends under. Place seam side down on sprayed cookie sheet. Brush with beaten egg whites and sprinkle with more grated cheese if desired. Bake at 350 degrees for 25-35 minutes until golden brown. Cool slightly, slice and serve.
