Four-Star Chocolate Chips
- 21/4 cups all purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup packed light brown sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 2 cups semi sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
- 1/2 cup golden raisins
- 1/2 cup shredded coconut
- Heat oven to 375u0b0.
- In a small bowl, combine flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream the butter, sugars and vanilla with an electric mixer or a wooden spoon. Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
- Gradually beat in the flour mixture. Stir in the chocolate chips, walnuts, raising and coconut.
- Drop the dough by rounded tablespoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheets. Bake 9 to 11 minutes or until golden brown. Let the cookies rest on the baking sheets for 2 minutes before removing with a spatula to wire racks to cool completely.
