Brent'S Turkey Tacos
- 1 lb ground turkey
- 1 packet chicken taco seasoning (or your own)
- Small soft corn tortilla
- Powder grated cotija cheese
- American Cheese, slices
- Iceberg lettuce, chopped
- Favorite hotsauce (pico pica, tobasco, tapatilla)
- Brown the turkey in a pot and drain fat. Add seasoning and water and simmer until reduced.
- Chop lettuce however you want it in your taco.
- Grate cheese like you would see about to go on your pizza, powdery.
- Add a naked frying pan to med-high heat. Add a frying pan with enough oil to coat one side of the tortilla to another frying pan on med heat.
- When oil is hot, add tortilla and fry on one side only for a matter of seconds. 5-10 at most. Then transfer tortilla with tongs to naked pan. Immediately add American Cheese to tortilla and a spoon full of taco meat.
- Cook until cheese is melted and tortilla is crispy yet bendable.
- Slide tortilla directly onto plate with cotija cheese to coat one side. Add hot sauce either in the pan or now (if desired) and add lettuce and serve.
- You usually have to make these individually. Reason being the tacos come off hot and nummy for all.
- Enjoy!
