Company Casserole
- 4 c. uncooked noodles (1/2 lb.)
- 1 Tbsp. margarine
- 1 lb. ground chuck or ground beef
- 2 (8 oz. each) cans tomato sauce
- 1/2 lb. (1 c.) cottage cheese
- 8 oz. softened cream cheese
- 1/2 c. sour cream
- 1/2 c. chopped onion
- 2 Tbsp. melted margarine
- 3/4 c. buttered bread crumbs
- Cook and drain noodles.
- Saute ground chuck in 1 tablespoon margarine until brown.
- Drain.
- Stir in tomato sauce.
- Remove from heat.
- Add cottage cheese, cream cheese, sour cream and chopped onion.
- In 2-quart casserole, spread layer of noodles, layer of cheese mixture and repeat layers until all is used.
- Pour melted margarine on top.
- Top with buttered bread crumbs.
- Chill.
- About 1 hour before serving, heat oven to 375u0b0.
- Bake 45 minutes. Yield: 6 servings.
