Nancy'S Whole Wheat Bread
- 6 packages yeast
- 1 1/2 cups water
- 3 cups water
- 2 1/4 cups milk
- 18 tablespoons butter
- 3 tablespoons salt
- 3 cups All Bran cereal
- 6 tablespoons sugar
- 1 1/2 cup molasses
- 9 cups whole wheat flour
- 8 1/4 cups white flour
- Bring to a boil 3 cups water and milk. Stir in butter, salt, All Bran, sugar and molasses. Cool to lukewarm. Disolve yeast in 1 1/2 cups and add to lukewarm mixture. Add whole wheat flour and beat until smooth. Stir in enough white flour to make a soft dough. Knead (dough will be sticky). Place in a greased bowl. Cover and let raise until double in bulk. Divide in 6 parts. Shape into loaves and place in pans. Cover and let raise 1 hour. Bake at 375 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes.
