Holiday Spiced Flank Seak
- 2 Tbs minced fresh Garlic
- 2 tsp grated peeled fresh Ginger
- 2 teaspoons kosher salt
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon ground corriander
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon ground clove
- 1 Cup olive oil
- 1/2 Cup honey
- 1.5-2 pounds flank steak trimmed
- mash garlic and ginger with salt and spices using a morter and pestle (or mix in food processor) add olive oil and honey to make a paste. Pat steak dry and rub with marinade cover and chill at least 1 hour.
- Prepare grill for cooking.
- Bring steak to room temperature(no longer than 45 min). When grill is hot, grill steak on grill rack 5 to 8 minutes on each side for medium-rare. Transfer to cutting board and let stand for 10 minutes.
- Cut on bias (45-degree angle)across the grain into thin slices.
