Casey'S Delicious White Bread
- 2 1/2 c. warm water
- 1 c. dry milk powder
- 3 Tbsp. safflower oil
- 2 Tbsp. granulated sugar
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1 Tbsp. dry yeast
- 1/4 tsp. ground ginger
- 6 c. sifted flour
- Combine water, milk powder, oil, sugar and salt in the mixing bowl.
- Mix ingredients slowly.
- Sprinkle yeast over mixture in mixing bowl.
- Let it melt into mixture while you sift flour.
- Add half (2 cups) of the flour to mixture and beat well for 2 minutes. Slowly add the remaining flour, little by little, until the dough leaves the sides of the bowl, leaving it clean.
- Flour a counter and knead until smooth and satiny.
- Place dough in a bowl sprayed with Pam.
- Turn the dough upside down in the bowl, greasing the side that is up.
- Put some plastic wrap over the bowl and put it in the sun or in a warm spot until the dough is doubled in size (about 1 to 1 1/2 hours).
