Shrimp And Wine-Sauced Spaghetti
- 2 green onions chopped
- 1 clove garlic minced
- 2 teaspoons cookiing oil
- 1 16 ounce can tomatoes cut up
- 2 tablespoons dry white wine
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- dash pepper
- 1 teaspoon dried basil crushed
- 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano crushed
- 8 ounces shrimp peeled and deveined
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 4 ounces hot cooked spaghetti
- 1 tablespoon grated romano
- In a small saucepan cook onion and garlic in hot oil till onnion is tender. Add undrained tomatoes wine sugar salt and pepper basil and oregano. Cover and simmer 25 minutues. Add shrimp return to simmering and cool uncovered 5 minutes or till shrimp is tender. Blend cornstarch and 1 tablespoon cold water, stir into shrimp mixture, cook and stir till bubbly. Divide spaghetti between two dinner plates. Spoon half of the shrimp mixture overeach top with cheese.
