Torta Di Mele (Rosh Hashona)

  1. Cut apples into thin slices, put in a bowl with 2tbs sugar, cinnamon and rum. Mix well and set aside.
  2. Cream oil, sugar and honey. Add eggs one at a time, beating with each one.
  3. Mix together orange juice and vanilla. Alternately add the liquids and flour/bp.
  4. Put 1/3 of mixutre in springform pan, spread 1/2 of the apples, andother 1/3 of the mixture and the other 1/2 apples, topping with 1/3 of the batter.
  5. Bake at 350 degrees for 1.5 hours. Serve at room temp.
