Chocolate Chip Cookies

  1. Heat oven at 375u0b0.
  2. Mix shortening, sugars, egg and vanilla thoroughly.
  3. Measure flour by dip-level-pour method or by sifting. Blend dry ingredients; stir in.
  4. Mix in nuts and chocolate pieces.
  5. Drop rounded teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart onto ungreased baking sheet.
  6. Bake 8 to 10 minutes.
  7. Cool slightly before removing from baking sheet.
  8. Makes 4 to 5 dozen 2-inch cookies.
