Chocolate Chewy Cookies
- 2-cups all purpose flour
- 3/4 cup Dutch proces cocoa
- 1-teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 sticks + 4 Tablespoon butter 2-cups granulated sugar
- 2-large eggs
- 2-teaspoons vanilla
- 1-cup chopped pecans
- 3/4 cup shredded sweet cocounut
- 1-cup simi-sweet chocolate chips
- In medium bowl sift together dry ingredients. In bowl of electric mixer, with paddle attachment beat butter, sugar and eggs at med. speed until fluffy. Add vanilla and mix in gradually dry ingredients. Mix just untill all incorporated. Stir in nuts, coconut, and chocolate chips.Chill until firm. Roll into 1" balls and dip into granulated sugar and flatten slightly on parchment coverd cookie sheet.Bake approx. for 6-8 min. Allow to slightly cool on cookie sheet then remove and place on cooling rack to complete cool.
