Pear Ginger Upside Down Cake

  1. Preheat oven to 350
  2. In 10" c i skillet, melt 2 t butter, add 1/4 c sugar, cook until
  3. golden brown. Arrange pears in flower pattern, cook until slightly softened 5"
  4. whisk together flour b powder and salt
  5. in another large bowl, put cornmeal, add boiling water,stir, add 6 T butter and sugar
  6. mix well , beat in eggs and vanilla.
  7. Add flour mix and alternate with milk.
  8. pour over pears and bake in oven for 18" until golden.
  9. Rest for 5", unmold.
