Bulgur Wheat Burger
- 1/2 cup bulgur wheat or tabbouleh
- 1 carrot, grated
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 1/3 cup mushrooms (any mushrooms), finely chopped
- 1/2 cup firm tofu, grated
- 1 tablespoon soya sauce
- 1/2 tablespoon hot sauce
- 2 tablespoons whole wheat flour salt to taste
- Freshly ground black pepper
- oil for cooking
- 1. Clean and wash the Bulgur Wheat thoroughly. Soak it in one cup of hot water for 4 minutes, drain and Keep aside.
- 2. Combine all the ingredients in a bowl except the oil and mix well.
- 3. Divide the mixture into 8 equal parts and shape into patties.
- 4. Grillthe patties on a grill or shallow fry using a little oil in a non-stick pan, cooking on both sides till golden brown in colour.
