Seafood Chowder, New England Style

  1. Use 6-8 quart Dutch oven
  2. Melt butter on low fire
  3. Add onions,stir until they soften (about 3 minutes)
  4. Add carrots, potatoes, celery and red pepper
  5. Add clam juice
  6. Add chicken broth
  7. Bring to boil for approx 2-3 minutes, then simmer until the potatoes soften
  8. Add shrimp and scallops, clams and crab
  9. Mix flour to (cold) half & half and slowly add mixture until soup thickens
  10. Enjoy!!!
