Caesar Salad

  1. Saute 2minced garlic cloves in 1/2 cup of olive oil. Set aside but 2 tablespoons of this mixture.
  2. Fry 1 cup cubed french bread in the 2 tablespoons oil.
  3. Wash dry and break up 2 heads of romaine lettuce into a large bowl.
  4. Sprinkle over the romaine:
  5. 1 1/2 teaspoons salt/1/4 teaspoon dry mustard
  6. pinch of pepper
  7. 5 anchovies mashed
  8. 3 tablespoons wine vinegar and the remaining oil.
  9. Place 1 egg and the juice of 1 lemon in the bowl and mix well.
  10. Add cubed bread and 3 tablespoons of grated cheese, toos and serve
