Rocky Road Bars
- Bars:
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 1 3/4 cups sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 4 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 1/2 chopped walnuts
- 1 cups melted margarine
- 4 cups mini marshmallows
- Icing:
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/3 cup milk
- 1/4 cup butter or margarine
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup powdered sugar, sifted.
- Heat oven to 350 degrees.Sift together flour, sugar, and salt into large mixing bowl. Add eggs and vanilla; beat well. Stir in walnuts. Fold in melted margarine, then pour into greased 9x13in pan. Bake 35-40 minutes. Sprinkle bars with mini marshmallows.
- In a small sauce pan, combine brown sugar, milk butter, and salt for frosting. Boil 3 minutes. Add sifted powdered sugar to mixture. Beat with mixer until thick.
- Drizzle icing over marshmallows. Allow to cool 30 minutes before serving.
