Simple Home Pizza Margherita
- Olive oil for greasing pans plus 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1/4 cup flour
- 1 recipe basic pizza dough
- 1 1/3 cups tomato sauce
- 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1. Preheat oven to 450u0b0.
- 2. Lightly oil four 10-inch perforated pizza pans.
- 3. Spread the flour on a flat surface. Press each ball of dough out to form a 10-inch circle. Transfer the dough circles to the prepared pans.
- 4. Spread the sauce evenly over the dough circles. Then top with the mozzarella cheese. Sprinkle the oregano over the top. Season with salt and pepper. Drizzle 1/4 cup of olive oil on top.
- 5. Place the pans in the oven and bake for 8-12 minutes, turning the pans occasionally, until the cheese is bubbly and the crusts are cooked. Wait 2-3 minutes to serve.
