Apricot Bars

  1. First Layer:
  2. Mix first three ingredients. Grease a jelly roll pan. Press into pan and bake about 25 min.
  3. Second layer:
  4. Cut up 8 oz. apricots.
  5. Place in saucepan in water.
  6. Cook for 10 min. Drain and cool.
  7. Mix flour with baking powder and salt. Add 4 eggs, brown sugar, vanilla and chopped nuts. Add apricots and spread over first mixture.
  8. Bake 35-40 min. in 350 degree oven.
  9. Cool and spread with butter frosting or powdered sugar.
