Herbed Cheddar Whole Wheat Biscuits
- Dry Ingredients
- 1 3/4 c. Whole Wheat Flour
- 3/4 c. Organic Yellow Corn Meal
- 4 tsp Aluminum free baking powder
- 1 tsp Baking Soda
- 1 tsp Iodized Sea Salt
- 1/2 stick cold butter (sliced)
- 2 c. Grated Cheddar Cheese
- 1/4 c. Grated Parmesan Cheese
- 3 tbsp Dill weed
- 1 tbsp Minced garlic
- 1 1/3 c. Buttermilk
- Preheat Oven to 400 degrees F.
- 1.Mix dry ingredients with a whisk in a large mixing bowl.
- 2.Cut in butter slices with forks or pastry knife.
- 3.Stir in Cheeses, Dill & Garlic with a wooden spoon.
- 4.Slowly add buttermilk stirring just until thoroughly moistened.
- 5.Drop large rounded spoonfuls onto a buttered baking pan. (Use the wooden spoon)
- 6. Bake at 400 degrees F about 10-15 minutes or until golden brown.
