Rollercoaster Ice Cream Sundae
- Really good vanilla ice cream
- 3 glazed donut holes
- 1/4 cup Cinnamon-Sugar mix
- Chocolate Fudge Sauce
- 1 TB Chopped Toasted Almonds
- Whipped Cream
- Preserved Strawberries in their syrup
- 1 sprig of fresh mint for garnish
- 1) Make mini donut chips! Heat up panini press or any double-sided electric grill to medium heat. Slice donut holes in half and press the flat sides into cinnamon-sugar. Place on grill, close and cook for about 1 min or until they are flattened and bubbly around the sides. Carefully remove from grill and place on a cooling rack or plate. After a few minutes of cooling, the chips will become crispy.
- 2) Warm up the fudge sauce, following directions on jar. Usually this means letting the jar sit in hot water for a few minutes.
- 3) Prepare the sundae! Place three scoops of ice cream into a shallow bowl or dish. Drizzle hot fudge sauce over ice cream. Sprinkle chopped almonds on top of fudge sauce. Top with whipped cream (extra points if you made your own). Spoon some preserved strawberries around the sides and drizzle some strawberry syrup over the whipped cream. Place the donut chips around the sides of the bowl if you haven't eaten them all by this point. If you have, make more donut chips. Garnish with a sprig of mint on top. Enjoy!
