Chocolate Sundae Cookies
- 1 1/2 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp. soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2/3 c. brown sugar
- 1/2 c. Crisco
- 1 unbeaten egg
- 1/4 c. maraschino cherry juice
- 2 Tbsp. milk
- 2 sq. melted unsweetened chocolate
- 1/2 c. chopped walnuts
- 1/4 c. chopped maraschino cherries
- Sift together dry ingredients.
- Set aside.
- Cream brown sugar and Crisco, creaming well.
- Blend in unbeaten egg.
- Stir in half the dry ingredients.
- All the 1/4 cup maraschino cherry juice and 2 tablespoons milk, then stir in remaining dry ingredients and mix well.
- Blend in 2 squares melted chocolate, walnuts and maraschino cherries.
- Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets.
- Bake at 350u0b0 for 12 to 15 minutes.
- Cut large marshmallows in half.
- Place cut side down on hot cookies.
- Cool on rack.
- Frost with your favorite chocolate frosting.
