Bavarian Goulash
- 1 pound veal
- 1 pound lean pork
- 1 pound lean beef
- 3 pounds onions
- 1/2 stick butter
- few small slivers of carrot
- 3 cloves garlic
- salt and pepper to taste
- 3 tablespoons paprika
- 1 slice lemon
- 1 beef bouillon cube
- water
- gravy thickening
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- Mix all dry ingredients and add wet ingredients; beat well. Place in potato ricer and press through into boiling salted water. Cook for about 5 minutes or until they rise to the surface.
- Drain and drizzle with butter.
- Saute 1/2 cup bread crumbs in butter until brown and sprinkle over top of warm noodles.
- Serve with goulash and gravy with chunky applesauce on the side.
