Snickerdoodles

  1. 1. In an electric mixer blend at medium speed, butter, oil, 1 cup sugar, and powdered sugar until very smooth. Beat in eggs until well blended, scraping down sides of bowl as needed.
  2. 2. In another bowl mix flour, baking soda, cream of tartar, and salt. Stir or beat into butter mixture until well blended.
  3. 3. In a small bowl mix 1/2 cup sugar and cinnamon. Shape dough into 1 inch balls and roll in cinnamon sugar mixture. Place 3-4 inches apart on a parchment lined cookie sheet.
  4. 4. Bake in a 375 degree oven until edges of cookies are lightly browned. About 14-16 minutes. Transfer cookies to racks and let cool completely
