Meaty Alfredo Pasta
- 1 Tb. Canola oil
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1/4 cup diced onion
- 1 jar (1 lb.) Alfredo sauce
- 8 roasted plum tomatoes, cut up
- 8 oz. Campanelle noodles
- 1 Tb. dried Basil

- Place a large pot of water over high heat to bring to a boil.
- Put oven on broil. Cut plum tomatoes in half, sprinkle with olive oil, salt and pepper and broil for 10 minutes. Let cool slightly and cut up.
- As water is coming to a boil: brown the beef and onion in a large saute pan in the oil until thoroughly cooked. Season with salt and pepper when almost done. Drain off fat if necessary.
- Place the noodles in the boiling water and cook for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Now empty the Alfredo jar into saute pan with meat, add tomatoes and basil and heat.
- When noodles are al dente add them to the meat mixture. Stir and serve.
