Laid Back Barbecued Chicken

  1. wash meat, place meat in baking pan with half of the onions placed on the bottom of the pan.
  2. place the chicken directly on top of the onions.
  3. place the remaining onions on top of the chicken.
  4. season with seasoning salt and black pepper.
  5. if you prefer hot and spicy: place 2-3 hot peppers on top of the meat.
  6. add 1/2 of the jar of barbecue sauce. reserve the other for the second half of the cooking time.
  7. bake covered with foil on 250 degrees for 2 hours (for 1 lb)
  8. add 20 minutes for each additional lb.
  9. it must cook slowly.
  10. after the first two hours remove foil and place the remaining sauce over meat.
  11. back uncovered.
  12. turn up the oven to 350 degrees for 30 minutes
  13. let stand for ten minutes of more and enjoy.
