Chicken And Dressing Casserole
- 6 chicken breasts
- 1 c. grated carrot
- few celery tops
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. melted butter
- 2 boxes Stove Top chicken dressing
- 1 c. sour cream
- 1 can mushroom soup
- Simmer chicken breasts in water (just to cover) with carrot, celery tops and salt until tender, about 45 minutes.
- Strain broth.
- Save vegetables and 1 cup broth.
- Debone, skin and dice chicken.
- Mix 1/4 cup butter and 1/2 of broth with 1 package of dressing mix.
- Place in greased 9 x 13-inch pan.
- Mix vegetables, chicken, 1/2 cup broth, sour cream and soup.
- Spread over dressing in pan.
- Mix other box of dressing with 1/4 cup butter and 1/2 cup broth.
- Spread over other mixture.
- Bake at 350u0b0, uncovered, for 40 minutes.
